For the first time ever, the New York State Legislature has adopted a resolution to declare October Behavioral Health Recognition Month. 
Join us this October in celebrating the first ever Behavioral Health Recognition Month.  It’s all about bringing together the fields of mental health, addictions, and veterans services to spread awareness of the issues, to recognize individuals and friends and family of individuals that are struggling with mental illness or substance use disorders every day, and to honor the professionals that dedicate their life’s work to helping these individuals.

The Behavioral Health Recognition Month Celebration will be at the Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum (Pier 86) on Sunday October 9, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and you are cordially invited.  Activities include great speakers, live music and entertainment, and even workshops (with CASAC credits) all for FREE.  If you are planning to attend, please reserve your tickets.
