Hello everyone, this blog is a place for people to interact and discuss mental health topics. Also, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about the show that you would like to share publicly than you may do so in this forum.

Heya Jacob,

I heard that you have already wrapped up taping of two new episodes of Talk Therapy TV (TTT). How can I participate in the next taping of the show? When will the epidodes you have completed be aired and will the episodes be available on-line at some point?

Respectfully,

Nathan J Perry

Nathan,

Great questions. If you would like to hear about a particular topic or if you have a mental health question than you can bring it up for discussion in this forum, and it may be featured on the show. If you are a mental health or media professional and would like to participate in the show than you show could contact me directly at host@talktherapytv.com.

The first episode will air within the next couple weeks(I will post the exact air times and channels soon) and after they air they will be available for viewing on the website as well.

Best,

Jacob

Dear Jacob,

This is a very promising venture and one that is most needed in our society. Congratulations on your initiative in filling a serious need.

I'm really looking forward to watching your program and learning more.

Thank you for your work on behalf of a seriously under-served group and their families and friends.

Hi Jacob.

I just found your website and it looks great! We don't have a local program like this in my area and
I'm outside of your broadcast range, so I really appreciate that you will be making your show available on the web!

In some communities there is a fear of the stigma that comes along with therapy. Do you have any ideas how this can be addressed?

Yossef,

You bring up a great point. Society as a whole, and certain cultures specifically, associate a level of stigma with mental illness and it's treatment. One of the goals of this show is to reduce the stigma simply by educating people about mental illness. The idea is that a lot of the stigma stems from ignorance and misinformation about mental illness and that is something that we are trying to combat.

All the best,

-Jacob
