The Mental Health " Quick Facts" campaign was launched in November 2010 with the goal of raising mental health awareness and educating the public one fact at a time. Unsuspecting shoppers at Stop & Shop, Shoprite, and Pathmark stores throughout Queens and Long Island were presented with intriguing facts about mental illness on the backs of their grocery store receipts.
In it's first year, the Quick Facts campaign gave out an estimated 10 million educational receipts with mental health information. Additionally, the campaign caught the attention of the NY Daily News prompting them to poll their readers on mental health knowledge.
