ROCKSTAR SUPERSTAR PROJECT is Rockin’ it out to Rebrand Sobriety
The dynamic Duo of Rock, legally named Rock Star and Super Star, are seriously kickin' things up – way up! Reaching for the stars, these rockin' ruffian twin brothers are on a mission to rebrand sobriety by creating opportunities for others to engage in those necessary conversations about the impact of substance use. While one was struggling with a drug addiction that nearly killed him, the other was struggling with what to do about it. This was the dynamic between Rock Star and Super Star for nearly 15 years. Their story is about twin brothers finally finding serenity through sobriety and making responsible choices.
Rock Star and Super Star have established the ROCKSTAR SUPERSTAR PROJECT in an effort to spread a message of hope to others struggling with addiction or with loving one with an addiction. RSSS started with the vision of recording a CD titled -- Serenity. The brothers set out to write the songs for Serenity to convey the horror of addiction and the beauty of sobriety with the support of many of the masters of metal who make their appearance on this very CD.
ROCKSTAR SUPERSTAR PROJECT is taking their Rockin’ Recovery Tour on the road in September and October 2011. The Rockin’ Recovery Tour, a family-friendly sober event, is another exciting way for RSSS to bring awareness to the disease of addiction and celebrate recovery; a musical event that spreads HOPE for all those affected by addiction! The concert performance will feature musicians from our CD, Serenity. There will be a mix of rock and acoustic songs symbolizing addiction and recovery including songs from Serenity. Intermixed within the performance will be dialogue between Rock Star and Super Star. Together they have learned a lot about addiction and through recovery found serenity. This show is guaranteed to be a rockin’ way to celebrate recovery!
